Semi upstate NY
Nothing semi about it. We are north of Goshen and south of the Adirondacks. We are as Upstate as Upstate gets.
You're south to me.
Yes, but Upstate refers to the upper part of the state above the NYC commuting zone (and the island.) No matter how far south in upstate you are, you are still in upstate. And we are right in the middle of it, not even close to an edge. If someone is "less upstate" it would be you as you are nearer the Canadian edge.
We're upstate. But only by an hour or so. We're in the vacationing/weekend range.
THe house that I just sold was downstate, Peekskill.

Already lost power here once. Argh. This is going to make for a rough night, I can just tell.
CPAP users will understand, losing power with a CPAP is pretty awful.

I know, I had a friend that when we would go to Haiti and didn’t have power we would use a generator for him to keep it up. Fun times.

Hoping to get teh kids off to bed here shortly. One fell asleep but I have to carry her upstairs yet. The other seems way too wide away.
The storm is raging on here! So much snow out there. But, at least the power has stayed on.

We had thundersnow overnight; only got about 8" but its the heavy wet stuff, took forever to snowblow this morning
