@scottalanmiller No reason just thought with the workload Hypercov might be OTT, but open to all suggestions (apart from the 3-2-1 IPOD lol)

IT's equal work. A replicated system or an HC one is the same hardware - just whether you configure the replication to be async or full sync.

I don't think BMWs have turn signals. I have never seen a BMW driver use it.

Other than being "slightly easier to set up", why would you even consider "just replication"?
I have someone doing that, because they are using old, disparate equipment that can't do the HC. But if you are planning fresh with matching servers, is there any reason to not do HC?
Another reason for asking was if the starting price for a simple 3 node setup was £400K then the single server comes back into view it as you said the start price is 25K then yes Hyper-coverage seems the way to lean too.

Too true. Have you had the same experience I have had? One particular vehicle that gets the highest safety ratings is the one that I most often almost get hit by. Volvo. My apologies to any Volvo owners in the group. It just "my" experience. The shape of the car in my rear view mirror gives me chills.

No, that was a very intentional ad from KFC in the UK after they had to close all their stores.
