The company in question, the one that I'm going after, fired me over the weekend for asking for my paycheck. That's wrongful dismissal even in at-will states. But they also waived at-will status, so there is even more to it.
And then there is racial discrimination, which will up the situation another step.
Oh I see, that's messed up!
I hope they get hit for everything in that list.
Texas seemed to think that most, if not all of it, was pretty much a foregone conclusion. The degree to which I have documentation from them, in writing, is way better than usual.
It's not just that they broke the law, they admitted (in person, not in writing) that it had been by intent. So it's not just letter of the law, but spirit, too.
Oh snap. I hear restitution as well in this.
I just filed and the amount that they owe me is so much more than I had realized
Good luck with it all.
Thanks, it's a staggering amount of money. And hopefully the wrongful termination will get me another month or two. We will see what the state examiner says tomorrow.
If they failed to pay you because they were intent on scamming you... What makes you think you'll get any money out of them if it goes to court?
The courts are pretty good about extracting money. If you deny the court, you tend to go to jail. Then they seize your assets anyway to settle the debts.
How would they avoid paying me?

Ha ha ha. I don't watch the news... for that very reason. No need to know what the world's favorite Oompah Loompah did today.

Newegg daily email blast. Look at this monitor. Price in email blast says 799 but on site is 1299 Incredible specs, but i can get a 70" 4k led tv for that price.

A 70" 4k LED TV for that price will be slow as hell.

Just got an email from Plex, offering a Lifetime Plex Pass for $75.00. Waiting for a sale finally paid off! Looks like I'm now "all in" on Plex. Can't wait to try it for photo organization.

Is it really hard to make dual monitor wide LCDs? That's the only thing I can think of that makes these over the top expensive.
I can get a decent pair of HD 27" monitors for under $300 ea. Hell 4K it's ridiculously more.

Just finished interviewing a IT Helpdesk candidate.

@dashrender This one is curved, 49" monitor @ 144HZ, 1ms lag and 32:9 aspect raio. Beats the pants off your hd 27" monitors in everything.

I'm also not gaming with it - so I don't care!
The other monitors are 16:9 so two of them match the 32:9.. and you can get monitors that match the other specs and I'm willing to bet that they would still be several hundred dollars cheaper for the pair.
Again, my question is - why so expensive? super wide panel = expensive to make?
-
@dashrender I just said why. Curved, 49"144HZ, 1ms are the big reasons. Your monitors are like 90s econobox Chevy, this is a 458 Italia. They are both cars. Also, how bad would it suck watching a movie spread across two monitors? A lot is the answer.

Having family movie time.
