I had a giant bowl of tater tots at @scottalanmiller's house for dinner. We demolished them before I thought to take a picture though.

I cooked up carnitas on Saturday and made tacos that evening. It was amazing. I followed it up with pizza on Sunday, and it had carnitas meat on there, too. I love carnitas.

Not really. I bought it as a vacuum sealed pork shoulder in sauce from the grocery store (Kroger). I followed the directions on the package to make it.

Interesting. I've seen lots of different recipes, some are braised in stock/beer, some add lard to the liquid, some are just cooked in lard. I haven't seen the pre-prepped ones.

I do pancakes from scratch every weekend for my kids because they demand it. Well honestly, they demand it almost any not school day, but they learned last summer that daddy does not do that everyday.

I do pancakes from scratch every weekend for my kids because they demand it. Well honestly, they demand it almost any not school day, but they learned last summer that daddy does not do that everyday.
It is pretty common around here. My kids are pretty picky eaters. Cereal and pancakes are two of their standard requests, and only sometimes for breakfast.
