Programming the osTicket Reports Plugin and reading work emails.
OSTicket has suddenly had a jump in popularity here, lol.
It exploded! Well, that was expected, with osTicket's big competitor having an epic outage and exposure of fragility and no business class operational plan their customers are scrambling and osTicket is a key alternative. So osTicket is likely one of the big winners of last week's disaster. Not a big surprise really.

The coffee is just about ready.

Got my truck in the shop for a new bumper after hitting a deer. They gave me a loaner car with a dead battery.
sigh

back.. We had a CT scan late yesterday which showed a abscess area.
We went down this morning and it was drained. So we are still coming out of the anesthesia,.. nearly lost a finger, my glasses and black eye..
Going to be a interesting day... What happened to going home Monday has not turned into a we are still here and don't know anything new.
Ugh.
Now to go off and be a bit obtuse elsewhere..

there was some concerns about additional fluid that would need to be drained. The plan was to insert a new drain, however there wasn't enough area between the bowel to allow for it. to place the drain, they had to sedate him, put in in the CTscan machine for them to place it.
it was drained and nothing else done...
Now to wait for lunch... we are both hungry... but not liikely I'll get lunch.. don't know.

@gjacobse Fingers crossed that everyone gets to go home soon.

Just built a new PC for my wife. Nothing big, but I got a serious problem with the mainboard: It won't boot if a graphics card is installed in the first PCIe x16 slot. Boots fine if I use the other x16 slot, but the second one is only wired as x4.
What now? RMA that thing? Just keep it? ....
-
@thwr
check the manual, that's a common thing for mobo manufacturers to doRMA it - I read your post wrong

BIOS update?
Firmware update on the video card?
-
@thwr RMA that sucka. Or check the HCL to make sure the GPU is fully supported.

Radeon 7850, not exactly brand new But enough for Path of Exile, the only game she's playing
RMA would take weeks, so I would need to order another board in between

Working on an sql script, prices are going up on our webstore and I'd rather not have to change the 4 pricing levels on 500 products manually. Yay for local db copies to pry on before running anything live!

Just got an invite to see the premiere of the new Star Wars movie from CDW. With partner demos from Lenovo, Sophos, and Unitrends. But potentially free drinks....

But are free drinks enough to sit through a movie?
-
