Starbucks are attempting to re-enter the Australian market
http://www.news.com.au/finance/business/retail/starbucks-coffee-is-quietly-expanding-in-australia-after-humiliating-retreat-eight-years-ago/news-story/b7f136c4d78f24aaa600a3822b1e31b4Racking up losses of $143 million on its Australian operations, in 2008 Starbucks sacked 700 staff and closed 66 branches leaving a rump of cafes in the CBDs of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane mostly serving tourists familiar with the brand. I wonder how well they'll do this time 'round. It sounds like they've actually looked at what the local market wants.

More signs that police are desperately in need of better training / evaluation. Yeah, that doesn't sound like a training issue. Evaluation, yes. If you are needing to train cops to just obey the law and not assault people, you just have a general "who is a cop / who is a criminal" identification problem.
