Watching another episode of the remake of Carl Sagans "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage" with Neil deGrasse Tyson on Netflix.
I think it's pretty good. Don't expect to learn lots of new things if you are already interessted in such topics as (astro)physics, evolution theory etc, but it's a good round-up and probably awesome for people who don't have any idea.

As someone who had never seen the original, I think the updated version was insanely well-made and very accessible to students and young people. A few of the middle episodes dragged, but other than that, I think NdGT was very charismatic and was the perfect person to have at the helm for this.

I used to live literally next door to the Sagans in the first house that @Dominica and I had.

I think you mentioned that a few weeks/months ago. The world is a village

Yepp, he's pretty good at explaining things without getting too much into "nerd talk". AFAIK he has a very good reputation as a researcher.

Started an rsync. Seems to be running well so far, only 132G of data for the initial sync. If everything goes right I'll daemonize it tomorrow.

rsync is very robust. When something fails, it's most probably a PEBCAK error

I'm good at creating those!
Power problems are what concern me the most as one of the systems does not have a UPS.

But that's exactly one of rsync's core features. Just start the job again and will sync the missing bits.

Yep, that's why I'm using it. Easy, if something breaks just run the same command again.

Trying to make myself have motivation to learn CoreOS. I've been kind of sick and just don't feel like doing anything though.
