I wouldn't call never getting married "doing it wrong", but to each his own.
There are pro's and con's, like with everything. But to be honest, when you make up for a good team, it's pretty perfect. Otherwise....

@travisdh1 Our ceremony was 11 minutes long outside of a barn by a lake. The reception was in said barn. It was a really good party people are still talking about it a year later!
Ours was thrown together in a week once some friends realized how sick she was, was crazy, but totally worth it.

Fishing Spider lake tomorrow - should be exceptionally beautiful! Followed by Horne lake on Sunday.

Driving to Texas this weekend. Probably leaving on Saturday morning.

This weekend's menu: Maple-herb brined pork loin (will be sous vide cooked, then seared over pecan/maple wood) with caramelized onions, herbed chevre, and a blueberry-red wine demi glace. With that I will be serving mashed purple potatoes and garlic sauteed green beans, as well as grilled bourbon peaches and rum pineapple.

Big party tomorrow. All kind of different meat, live band, etc. More alcohol then a group of people can reasonably drink, although they will try.

Having a cookout and playing volleyball at Letchworth with some friends tonight. Should be a good start to the weekend.

Watching the opening ceremony tonight and then tomorrow is time to start work on the living room.
My wife will start with the painting while I start with scraping up the ceramic tile in the foyer.

Sister in law wants the kids this weekend (which is funny as she's due any day with her first, she wants 1 last weekend as "cool aunt") so wife and I are getting house stuff done Saurday, then off to go hiking Sunday, probably Letchworth but haven't decided yet.
