They're just having server issues period. Don't think anyone thought it would be so popular so quickly.

I've caught two Pokemon so far but haven't been able to walk around my town to see if there is a store.

Google describes it thusly:
When you grant full account access, the application can see and modify nearly all information in your Google Account (but it can’t change your password, delete your account, or pay with Google Wallet on your behalf).
This “Full account access” privilege should only be granted to applications you fully trust, and which are installed on your personal computer, phone, or tablet.I think I'll be killing my account and using a Trainer account (? I think that's what their called)

Yeah, it's why they've delayed the official release in many places...but people are downloading it anyway in those areas through work-arounds etc, which only compounds the issue!

I did have another go with it today but that access level doesn't sit well with me and it's horribly inconvenient when the only time I have for it is after the kids are in bed (and the dishes are done). Traipsing around the streets in the cold and dark on a WiFi iPad isn't my idea of fun. -

Better than a bandwagon, my dad operates a sofa wagon. It's an old school hay wagon (circa 1950s) with huge old comfy furniture bolted to it that he pulls around with a classic Alice Chalmers narrow front farm tractor.
