Maybe a related thread here would make sense. Having a thread like that AT the company that just laid you off might not be ideal for employers looking for people.

I just closed on a house in Chicago on Friday. And I have no idea if I have the skill set for his openings but damnit I would love to relocate to Japan.

Hey, go for it!! The best part about the jobs they have out there is they will train the individual on the solar sector. Our CEO is crazy smart (graduated from MIT) and he knows practically everything there is to know about it. Everyone raves about learning from him.
Only downside is he's a CEO, so he's a "right now" kind of guy. I like the guy.
