Forced HTTPS Is Now On
-
So far on our CF stats we have seen only 6% of requests using HTTPS. Just now we have turned on forced HTTPS for all requests. So everyone let us know if you are having any problems getting to the site now. It should be all transparent and automatic, but in case it is not be sure to let us know!
-
That explained the Unresponsive occurred couple minutes ago. No problem afterward. Chrome, Windows 10, HTTPS
-
No problem here. iPhone will not display the lock, likely due to the mixed content.
-
Firefox issue.
-
@DustinB3403 We know. Mixed content.
-
I got a red banner page for a bit, I clicked on the Mangolassi logo./....
Hitting F5 to refresh seemed to clear it.

Yeah looks like some images aren't loading... looks like there is testing with Homer in another thread.
-
They should all load. Just not all are secure at this point.

Ah, Homer still isn't loading in the other thread so I figured it was still ongoing.

That is different. That is not secure because it is an invalid HTTPS certificate.

working well

I'm not seeing any performance decreases related to the HTTPS being on... A sign that CF is doing a good job, perhaps?

Probably

@scottalanmiller HTTPS makes sites, faster, not slower.

What? How do you figure? It adds latency and increases bandwidth. How can it make it faster?
-
So the big thing.... turning on HTTPS Forced has had a pretty big effect on traffic. A huge effect. Our request rate increased by 30x a few hours after we turned it on. Our search engine rankings must have shot way up.
-
@scottalanmiller I think the words you are looking for is: "You were right, Aaron"
-
@scottalanmiller Now get those images fixed! I am willing to help if you need it

Getting there. It's manual, just has to be done one by one. With the travel this week a lot has to wait. I leave tomorrow to head to Bucharest then to Istanbul then to NYC then to Utica. It's always very hectic.
