Carry a stun gun, when the dogg approaches, just fire it off into the air. Dogs and crackheads will flee from that crackling sound.

      Mace maybe... the foaming kind.

"Walk softly, and carry a big gun"

This isn't the place to get into a discussion on this, nor is it a discussion I wish to have.

If you are on a public street and feel threatened by someone pet who is behind a fence - AND that pet should get out of that fence you are better to a short range type device. Mace, Pepper Spray or absolute last choice - something similar to the Taurus Judge with .410 - bird shot.

Just to clarify, I don't have a clue what the situation was, nor was I suggesting shooting an animal... I'm not even sure why I posted that quote lol, just jumped into my mind when I saw that you were talking about mace/stun guns...my bad 😛

This just begs for a link to the Portable Dog Killer version 2 (No, it doesn't kill the dog, just makes a real loud noise in the range that only certain animals can hear.)

yep, exactly what I was talking about 🙂

      I've got it bookmarked 😄

I try to write in the Queen's English as much as possible. Having worked in global finance and finding out that those outside of the US often think that American's are illiterate not realizing that they have "intentional alternative spellings" changes how you think about your writing style. Americans pretty much all know that everyone else has different spellings and know that they are taught American spellings in school. Even Canadians are often surprised to learn this and truly just think most Americans have no idea how to spell. So... I try to avoid the Americanisms.

Interesting perspective. So you're an American who doesn't like foreign stereotypes about American spelling, but you prefer to reinforce those stereotypes by adopting the foreign spellings of valid American English words?

Ha, in a way. One could argue that they are not exactly valid given that they were not organic but mostly intentional making them a, in a way, not so valid.
