I can't find things when I search for them on Mango Lassi.

I was trying to dig out Scott's article on lanless concepts but all the keywords throw up 10 pages of lots of other stuff.

      If you type in

      LAN Citadel Scott

You get lots of other bits. Is it just me struggling to find old content?

I got to page 5 of the search results, and at the bottom was a thread about "why do people still text"

The search seems really counter intuitive, if I feed it more keywords, it gives me more threads, even if "Scott" appears in it and LAN/Citadel do not.

Google is better at searching MangoLassi than the search tool 😛

          Type in "Mangolassi lan citadel"

Got what I want at the top, 1st page.

The search here has always been an issue.

The use of TAGs is required if you want any real hope of finding something.

Though the problem I see with that is that often a NON OP has very helpful information that has nothing to do with the OP, and now it's lost to search gods.

NodeBB itself has no good search functionality yet.

If I really need to search something here because I cannot find it from a tag, I use Google to search.

It used to be slightly better than it is now but it's gotten worse.

Why don't we just make the search go through google site search?

@Breffni-Potter even better google search query would be site:mangolassi.it lan citadel or head over to advanced google search for even more options.

                    @larsen161

True, but I did not need to even do that to find what I was after 🙂

I've found that wrapping in quotes helps a little, but searching still is quite bad.

It's terrible but there just isn't a good option yet 😞 I just use Google.
