For the record, my forum is on NodeBB master (not 9.1 though I believe they are the same atm) and Gravatars work just fine.

Can Gravatar get overloaded or does it have a limit on how many requests per time unit it accepts? Or does each individual connection request the Gravatar image directly from Gravatar?

          I have attempted to

          • change my Avatar FROM Gravity-Face to the one uploaded eons ago and the changes button does nothing
          • change my Avatar FROM Gravity-Face to "Default Icon"and the changes button does nothing

I believe that a service may have crashed on the ML server

          ^ supports my crash theory.

Gravatar itself is fine. The issue is local..

Can you roll back to a previous version? Avatars aren't critical so it may be an off hours thing just wondering if that process is available.

@scottalanmiller how long did this take ML to do? I clicked the upgrade button on my forum like 5 minutes ago now. The plugin is still spinning upgrade.

Felt normal, not sure what that is but you know... 5-10 seconds or so.

                      I'd avoid that upgrade 😉
