Spinning up SQL Server 2014 on an VM for a demo.

Getting our condo in Texas lined up for the holidays. Ocean front (Gulf) here we come!! Right on the beach, with water views, huge pool....
-
From the wind we had yesterday.
-
That's pretty crazy.
-
We have that sort of windy crud today. No rain yet, though it is coming I am sure.
-
@dominica is getting our Costa Rica trip plans solidified. Might be heading to CR tomorrow.
-
I've already gotten used to the nearly zero wind of central Nicaragua. I've forgotten how crazy the wind was in Rio Hato just two months ago.
-
@MattSpeller The wind turbine on campus is hauling ass today. I was outside for a bit and the wind was crazy.
-
We are going to take the bus past all of the wind turbines here in the morning, if all goes to plan. There are tons along the lake.

Whenever I drive down to PA we go through Forest City (tiny town just over the NY/PA border). They have an entire hill side covered in turbines. Pretty amazing thing to watch.

We have lots of them about 20 minutes away from us in Wyoming County.

GA is far to ass-backward (or crooked, or both) to allow something like solar or wind to infringe on GA Power's profits...

I think I actually might have fixed the last bug after moving a proprietary jumble of HTML, CSS and PHP from a shared host to a VPS.
It was a great impromptu crash course on various bits of Linux administration, but I don't think I'd recommend it to a friend. Perhaps to an enemy.
I can't help but compare it to when I did the same move with a WordPress site about a year ago - I have a newfound appreciation for just how easy WP + well-made plugins makes stuff like this!

So many that it actually shows up on weather maps because it disturbs the air flow so much. But what Wyoming has is nothing compared to Spain!!

Wind kills birds and solar uses too much land that could used for agriculture, but isn't. :sarcasm:
