Bit of a LinkedIn fail. They beg you and cajole you to enter a phone number or whatever, then when you do.... there is an error on the screen and it never lets you actually order. Just turn the feature off then! Argh, I hate that site.

Pretty funny to watch an apple fanboy (who is also a group admin on SW) keep removing comments from a thread because he's going all apple fanboy on it... a mod is posting suggestions (100% constructive, mind you), and he keeps deleting them because the comments would knock him off his high horse...

There is a big issue on SW with people being able to delete things.

I got moderated just now on SW for not being PC enough and for being honest with the guy that didn't want RAID in his server. I get it, they want it friendly and happy.... but at the expense of professionalism, best practices and honesty worries me. It implies that people are now posting there for "warm and fuzzies" and not as a professional forum. Which is fine but it fundamentally changes the purpose of the forum.

I get that a lot. If someone wants something buried so that people don't notice broad support for it, they do that. I've had big posts where I provided a lot of info but accidentally included "I agree" somewhere in it and got nuked for "agreeing."

There is one particular moderator I dislike alot, all of his posts come across as smug.

@brianlittlejohn There is 1 mod who has a total hard-on to delete stuff I post. Snarky it may be, but if I mention jeebus or republicans, I can count on deletion. Which is fuct because I bet if I mentioned Buddha or Libertarians, it would stay up.
