The last job I worked at used a Student Information System that was installed in 1984 when I got there (it finally went away ~2005!).... The Director of IT at the time had spent so much time in the code that when the company had a problem they couldn't figure out, they woudl contract her out to fix the problems! (I find this hillarious!)... The product... was Jenzabar's POISE.

In a thread about getting more women interested in IT, and a bit after I flagged it for moderation, I cannot believe that this Pimiento with only one post gets to keep this one on a thread. Still there, hour or two later, as I post this!

At least the over-moderation issues have been seriously curtailed, I've not seen a bad mod in months now. Very happy about that, even with me posting more heavily than ever. But this one really needs someone to step in and delete that post (and maybe that account.)

I think I can see why it hasn't been deleted/moderately moderated.
However I still think that it is definitely not contributing to the topic. It seems more like flame-bait.I flagged a similar comment from someone else last week and that got toasted.

If it had mentioned something political, especially about anyone named "Bush", it would get removed immediately... just like mine do. Seriously, one of the mods has a total hard-on to delete anti-right wing comments, happens every time.

Any chance to add a mini solar charger to the gear list? they aren't the fastest to charge,.. but they will function as a stop-gap measure:

Great idea, I'm going to look into that. Something large enough to charge a laptop, maybe! That would be good to use full time, actually. Electricity down here is super expensive and anything to offset it would be good.
