Something like that. you'd think that they would learn that that never happens with eyebrows.

I used to live in flint and I remember crack houses being burned to the ground by concerned neighbors. Michigan is pretty hard core.

They know how to show they care!

Ever seen the Charlie LeDuff news specials? They are on youtube and while most have a funny undertone he does actual reporting on core issues with Detroit asking the tough questions.

I've been using the Getting Things Done system religiously for a decade. I highly recommend it!

THIS!! I can't emphasize enough how much of a life saver this is. It's quite literally saved my career and sanity. Read the book (or listen if you're an audiobook person). Enact the system and stick with it. You'll be more productive, less stressed, and may come out of it an entirely new person.

Agreed on saving my sanity. At the time I was a very stressed out sysadmin keeping everything in my head. Now, whenever I feel stressed at work I know that I need to update my to-do list and make sure everything is in order. Instant stress relief.

We've used the healthcare in France. Best I've ever seen. No amount of money in America can buy you healthcare like you get in a little, rural village in France.

Maybe, maybe not... Concierge primary card docs might be the closest. I have one for a client.

Walk straight in, good, quality diagnosis from the WHO's top rated health system. Nearly instant health care and nearly instant pharmaceutical availability. All for free. It's amazing. The degree to which the US has bad health care is so extreme that if you've not used other countries' programs it is really hard to understand how good healthcare can be.

This, so hard, this. I HAVE made use of healthcare in Japan for my daughter. I admit, that we get off cheap when the family goes back because I do not exist in Japan's systems in any form. So my wife has to pay a very minimal monthly tax to the city office to get all benefits of a normal resident.
Regardless of the monthly tax owed, the fee for children's services are almost 100% reimbursed. The rest of their system is basically a nation wide 70/30 plan. Residents (who are current on their taxes) pay 30% for most services.

Going by apparent sales, micro&soft would be what everyone has been buying inspite of it's short shelf life, unexpected colour swaps and cause your washing machine to generate a BSOD (Blue Sock of Death) randomly
However, the Linux one will probably have a longer shelf life, require less per wash, make your washing machine last longer but it will also require command line installation mid wash

Weird, they must have taken over a municipal LEC or something. Good to know that those are LEC areas to avoid putting an office. I'm original from the only LATA in the nation where no baby bell was the CLEC for the LATA and it was awful. It's also the home base of Windstream but they are not the CLEC for the LATA, just a coincidence that that is the LATA that they did their business in originally. Their reputation was so bad there that they had to change their name to Windstream to hide their shame.

It was bizarre. The project entailed plenty of fiber from TW Telecom, but had to go to the LEC for a pair of POTS, which fell to Windstream. One town over, and it's AT&T territory.
