As someone who has spent large sums on fireworks, that is not an insignificant amount of kaboom.

I've done family fireworks shows dropping ~$300 on stuff. Though I do not think I got any shells bigger than 2"

We had these crazy huge mortars this year, not like anything we had seen before. And some roman candles that felt like shooting a .38.

Getting all my mise en place for some chicken lo mein... I keep eating the pickled jalapenos.

My wife and I live 4 hours out of Melbourne so we're free and easy, just can't leave the state nor visit the capital.
I'll tell you what the world is going to be like this until a vaccine is found, so this could be going on for a few more years.
The Premier said yesterday that one problem they have is getting enough people to do the tracing work that is required. It spreads so fast that they run out of manpower.

All you have to do is come sit in my back yard with a bow and have at it. You can get 4-6 a week. Unfortunately, city ordinance doesn't allow it.

City ordinance means much less when you process the deer yourself. Besides, I balk at the laws of man.

But that's the thing... At 120w of tube powered fury, 12 o'clock is face melting loud. Never even gotten close to the redline.

I bet it just needs tubes replaced. I forget the source, but there are still 1 or 2 companies making new tubes for things like that.

She's rocking some NOS Mesa Boogie power tubes, I really hope those are ok. But there are also like 5x preamp tubes, original as far as I know.

Still trying to deal with the pinched nerve in my back. Legs don't really work, so falling in the shower this morning was pretty shitty. And the medicine I'm taking makes my legs even more rubbery, but it takes away the "want to die" feeling I had before. Fuck you, 2020.

The neurologist referred me to a PT place, but they don't take my insurance. I'm going to look for somewhere that does. I still have to get 1 more MRI, then they're going to do a nerve conduction test, so I'm still not sure what my treatment options will be.

I know Duluth's a bit of a hike for you with traffic, but the last time I had to have PT for my ankle, I used Benchmark Physical Therapy. They likely have an office somewhere near you, and while I don't know their insurance acceptance, I can at least day the therapist I had with them was good.

Thanks for the info. Duluth isn't so far, it's closer than work. Do you happen to know a good acupuncturist? I want to use all the options available while I wait around for other tests and stuff.

Looks like SyFy channel is running a Sharktopus marathon, so obviously I'm watching that.

Ever tried Reaper? It has versions for Linux (not sure what flavors are available). It's been my main audio squeeze for a while now, but it's more of a DAW. Though it does have editing capabilities.

I have not. I also want to look into Ardour at some point for multi-track recording.

My last band did our entire album on Reaper (multi tracking but not mix or mastering). Great software, semi free (nag screen after 60 days) or like $70 for a perpetual license. Worth it.

Went to my office for a bit today, tried to fix an old consumer NAS that's not accessible. Spent nearly an hour figuring out that you have to run a recovery USB drive (possibly for 3-4 hours or more). But it's the only location of some particular support files, so I'll probably be going back next week to sort it. And I'm still not back on the official payroll yet.

Maybe a day late, but I'm cooking up the traditional new year's meal of black eyed peas and collard greens. Cornbread will happen later as well.

I'm on coffee #zero because the cold brew is still a couple of days away from being done.

Trying to rearrange my freezer to fit all the great stuff my chef neighbor brought over yesterday. He's been clearing out all the dry goods and frozen stuff. Even after a giant donation to Atlanta Food Bank, he brought home a metric shit tonne of sushi grade tuna steaks, tuna tartare (for spicy tuna rolls), some whole yellowtail filets, crab sticks, those little precooked shrimp you get at the sushi place, edamame, a giant pack of smoked salmon, and some nice nori sheets. And sometime this week he's bringing home like 12lbs of flank steak and a whole beef tenderloin. Lots of good eating in my near future.

Headed to East Atlanta to buy pickles from the local pickle wizard. He's doing a pop-up shop at a newish brewery, so good times are ahead.
