It's OK, many people have never seen a quay let alone had to pronounce it!
Truthfully I only know the correct pronunciation because I used to live near Queens Quay in "torono"

It's definitely Torono...
As for quay, that's "key" in the "queens english"

Welcome to Canada eh!
Here's your first tip...pronounce it like "Trono" instead of "Toronto" and you'll fit right in
Omg, thank you @NashBrydges. I'm originally from the GTA (greater Toronto Area) before finally ending up in Alberta. Everyone here pronounces the second T (Tor-on-to) and it drives me nuts

Late to the game but I wear a Tag Heur Connected 45MM and love it. Stylish and nice display/options.

RE: USG to EdgeRouter VPN
Interesting. The last time that I looked at the GUI (as we typically use CLI for VPN), it didn't give the option of DH group like so :
Wonder in what version this changed?
-
RE: USG to EdgeRouter VPN
In my experience, the two devices use different defaults for S2S connections (DH group, encryption).
Thankfully, this is now somewhat selectable on the USG but not on the Edgemax.
I'd setup the Edgemax site using the gui first (for simplicity), check the DH group and IKE settings then duplicate these on the USG. -
RE: Phishing testing / awareness / training suggestions?
MSPs can only purchase Platinum or Diamond I was told, and at a minimum of 101 seats @ MSRP -20%. So, a minimum spend of $2400 CDN for us and $3000 for the customer for their "recommended" tier (platinum).
Does the old adage apply here? "Gotta pay to play"...?

RE: Phishing testing / awareness / training suggestions?
@mattbagan : That looks like a really neat platform but the amount of dev time is quite large as you have to develop your own emails, templates, forms, landing pages, etc.
If time permitted we'd consider this but, unfortunately, there just aren't enough hours in a day... -
Phishing testing / awareness / training suggestions?
Going down the rabbit hole here looking for an MSP friendly phishing platform. We'd like to test on one client initially (who recently got "bitten" though they we do provide training for them on this topic)
Knowbe4 seems to be hot but they're $2650 USD for only 100 endpoints. Webroot, I've heard, doesn't have quite the training videos but is $1200 CDN per year for the same number of endpoints.
Then comes Barracuda Phishline, Wombat/Proofpoint, Trend Micro, Sophos Phish Threat, and on and on, and on....
Does anyone have any hands-on experience with these platforms and could make some recommendations? I'd prefer not to spend weeks demoing each and adding our company to even MORE call lists.

RE: HPE Supermicro?
I wouldn't be that surprised. How many Dell Compellent storage servers were just Supermicro with a Dell bezel?

RE: Looking for new speakers
I'd probably look at the PSB Alpha line (P5) with their 100 or 250 sub if you wanted something a little "higher quality" but would work with that sort of input.
Otherwise, the Monoprice 12" subwoofer along with their 6.5" bookshelf speaker should result in half decent sound for a very low investment.
-
RE: Looking for new speakers
Hrmm. High level input for sub (no low level on that receiver), 40 Wpc into an 8 ohm load from that receiver...
The SX-7s were just bookshelf speakers correct? With, what looks like a 10" sub?
What sort of budget are we looking at? -
RE: Two or three screens. what is your choice? or just one.
We use 3x QHD 27" monitors when space allows.
4k requires too much windows "scaling" (read: blurry) for this size of screen whereas QHD at 100% scaling with browser zoom set to 125% is just about perfect for most of us. -
RE: PowerShell Determine if Running 32 bit or 64 bit OS
If you want a slightly different result :
(Get-CimInstance -ClassName win32_operatingsystem).OSArchitecture
Results in :
64-bit
or
32-bit

Speaking of Scotch, I've been thinking about making an infinity bottle.
Does anyone here participate in their own infinity bottle?
Considering I drink the same brand whiskey night-after-night, my "infinity bottle" would be pretty boring

@scottalanmiller said in What Happens When Microsoft Doesn't Issue Licenses:
Yeah, the issue is when you have zero. If we were just "adding more" it would not be so bad.
I thought about that after the fact -- that you likely had zero currently.
What a mess...
At least you -- by the looks of it -- were able to reset the 120 day countdown. This can only be done once IIRC so hopefully Insight can get this corrected before then.
I'm really surprised that they just haven't provisioned more for you due to their mistake.
How many did you order? -
RE: What Happens When Microsoft Doesn't Issue Licenses
@scottalanmiller : You know this already, but they definitely do. We have RDS user CALs from 2008 through 2019 in our own VLSC not to mention thousands spread amongst clients.
Funny thing is, these were mostly purchased from Insight (Canada) without issue.
We just provide them a working email address for the client, even if it doesn't have a VLSC tied to it, and we get the microsoft email telling us to activate VLSC and accept this license. With that said, RDP user CALs tend to be "soft licensed" and we've taken over clients way over their purchase count (i.e. 100 active users on RDP, 20 CALs) and the servers never complained. Obviously we got them into compliance.

RE: What is this?
Is this an onboard controller or an external? A typical external RAID controller (and some internal) have a BIOS that loads on POST which may show you whether it's active or not.
Otherwise, most BIOS post messages display the IRQ info of onboard components during boot so you should technically see a SATA/SAS/RAID controller there.I'd suspect the drive or corrupt boot loader first.
What OS is this?
