More than half of elderly Covid-19 victims in Sweden have died in care homes.

Sweden, with 10m inhabitants, has kept more of society open than is the case in most of Europe.

I had wondered how Sweden's approach to handling Covid-19 was working since they took a different approach compared to the rest of the world. Their death rate (based on the numbers the BBC reports in that article) is about 0.04%.

Most of the deaths were nursing home deaths due to bad handling in just that single aspect. It's no way reflective of "how the whole thing was handled".

I'm not criticizing any aspect of the deaths or how they've handled anything. I don't know enough. I've been more curious how their approach to handling things was going to work compared to the rest of the world's "Let's shut everything down" plan. Their infection rate appears to be rather low based on what is listed here: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries.

~30,000 cases out of 10,000,000 people is pretty low based on what experts were telling us would happen.

That is the main reason I'm watching it. My eldest loves it, and wants someone to share it with.

Is that the rate of death across society, or of those infected?

Across society - less than 4,000 out of a population of 10,000,000. I don't know what their infection rates are. However, there were dire predictions that their infection and death rates were going to spiral out of control since they weren't instituting the lockdown measures that other countries were.

    • RE: Office365 MFA vs 2FA

2FA is really no longer a thing (if I'm understanding what you're talking about). MFA is the means for utilizing additional means of authentication. MFA is a superset of 2FA. If you disable MFA then you're disabling 2FA effectively.

Giving Sea of Thieves a go since Xbox Game Pass for PC is $1 (in the US at least).

      My son wants that game.

I only played about 45 minutes last night. It was interesting. It seems like it is definitely more of a co-op game. For example, you can't look at the map and steer your ship at the same time.

I've used both MEmu and Bluestacks. MEmu was a bit faster and was less pushy about advertising. Bluestacks is more widely recognized and supported though. I didn't play much with keymaps and other features when I was using MEmu more heavily, but Bluestacks seems to have more of that.

    • RE: Resume Critique

Something that most IT people struggle with (I did) is selling ourselves. I always wanted to only put in the things that were clear and 100% accurate and measurable. The reality is that the value that you deliver to your employer is mostly neither. To get past the "meh" level of resume you need to make a case for that value. You supported hardware and closed tickets... ok... That is great, I guess. What exemplified your delivery of those services? Why did the company choose to pay you instead of someone else? Why would you hire you?

    • RE: Microsoft Teams

We are moving our organization wholesale to Teams. It has been reasonably easy to get people up to speed on it. There are some edge cases that take more digging, but overall it has been fairly easy to facilitate the transition. It helps that we're pretty deeply embedded in the Office 365 ecosystem.

You can download them in the clients, Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, etc.
