Just found a use for a KVM over IP
When remote server(s) aren't responding to on any IP including the iDRAC 🙂 as it's happening to me now, since i can't drive i could do with getting on and and doing some reboots.

      Looks good reading.
Really need to do more on tweaking on our environment.

    • RE: Another RDS server?

When talking about vCPU not add to more physical cores, where do threads come into play?
e.g 12 core cpu (24 threads). So are we saying the VMs running should only have vcpus adding up to less than the physical 12 cores? Or can we go higher due to the 24 threads?
(I'll have a read of the links tomorrow in work, it's Sunday morning and I'm on my phone so don't want to read it on here 😁)

Why would you need MTR with zabbix? Just have zabbix run traceroute more often.

because i need to see packetloss and where it's happening through the MPLS.

      *edit
Need a change of tactics running from Zabbix isn't giving all the hops. Looking at installing the ubuntu kernel on the endpoints machine so i can run mtr to several points and log them via a script.

We've only seen it on one machine at the moment.

Just did a google on APC_INDEX_MISMATCH and win32kfull.sys found this:-

Way 1. Disable Realtek HD Audio Manager from Start-up
Way 2. Reinstall Your Display Driver
Way 3. Update Your Device Drivers
Way 4. Run Windows System File Checker ("sfc /scannow")

      More BSOD information:

      • Bug Check String: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH
      • Bug Check Code: 0x00000001
      • Caused by Driver: win32kfull.sys
      • File Description: Full/Desktop Win32k Kernel Driver

What this has to do with printing, I don't know.

      Came across this: https://arikkatzuk.wordpress.com/2019/11/01/windows-10-and-kyocera-printing-issue-win32kfull-sys-failed/
While not exactly the same issue, it's close enough to warrant investigation.

Just had a helpdesk ticket with the same issue. But we don't kyocera printers just HP and brother.

SpaceX moves to beam Starlink internet into trucks, boats, and aircraft

The March 5th FCC filing asked for “a blanket license authorizing operation” of Starlink terminals on so-called Earth Stations in Motion — an umbrella term for cars, trucks, maritime vessels, and aircraft. “No longer are users willing to forego connectivity while on the move, whether driving a truck across the country, moving a freighter from Europe to a U.S. port, or while on a domestic or international flight,” the filing read.

Yes i'm in the UK, so that counts as a garden here :). We did have an electric mower (with the cord) but found it a pain getting it plugged in as we needed extension cords running through the house.

So bought a petrol/gas mower, also the wife didn't like the height the old one cut the grass. This one goes low.

Yes battery was an option, but we got this on a deal.

Didn't know you could use nmap to do CVE scans with a script :). Something new i've learnt for the day.

Oh and the network guy agreed with me, we need to move an AP 10 feet from it's current position.

Just make sure you've got all in info ready

Also keep in contact with the network guy so when it's fixed by sorting the AP's out you can give the client a virtual middle finger 😂😂
