Terminal should just be using OpenSSH.

This might be the issue. Will have a play after my holidays

In theory, Window's OpenSSH implementation is completely identical to the one on Linux and BSD. I can't way I've tested much in Windows 11, but on 10, it's definitely identical.

"Completely identical" is a bit of a stretch since it's a fork, so it has additions and changes and might not support everything the main project does. It's likely lagging behind the main project too.

But "works the same" or "practically the same" or "has the same code base"...

Microsoft only has one fork, so windows version shouldn't make any noticeable difference.
      https://github.com/PowerShell/openssh-portable

PS. In OP's case he has probably hasn't the right key in openssh. OpenSSH and Putty don't share their ssh keys. They are in different folders.

it is cheaper to build a gaming PC rather than buying a pre-built gaming PC. ... In most cases, the more expensive a prebuilt PC is, the more the cost of assembly and profit margin of the seller will be. Therefore, it is indeed cheaper to build a PC.

That's not completely true currently. If I want to build a gaming PC with an RTX 3090, that alone will cost me at the very least $3k for an off brand card... Yeah just the card itself. However, I could order a pre-built gaming pc with that card for about the same price or just a little more. Some even less.

That's why I went with a Dell. The whole computer was cheaper than the card on its own.

I have done it with the S3 Vault Lock feature, you can use it in conjunction with Storage Gateway (effectively emulating tapes), or using objects directly.

Once put in compliance mode, there is no way to delete the objects before the compliance period ends. It's also very cheap.

I'm trailing this now. Well to S3 storage, if it works I'll enable the Lock bit

Why not GitHub or GitLab for free?

That was part of the etc 😁😁😁😁
Also I thought GitHub was more for storing scripts and opensource stuff.

It's not generic hosting of websites as you don't have control like you would on a normal webserver.

It's simplified hosting and the github/gitlab pages was initially intended to complement the projects on there. So it would be easy to make a html website from the git repositories, for instance for documentation.

Since you can store any files on gitlab/github you could of course also use the pages for any type of static website.

Here is how to get started in the simplest way possible:

VLOOKUP is made for this. Although XLOOKUP is the new VLookup.

I did already mention LOOKUP in a couple of posts above.

But the power of the IFS is really when you just have a few different options and put them directly in the formula. Then you don't need a lookup table at all.

The SWITCH makes it even better as that is the equivalent to a case statement.

      =SWITCH(F2, "10.0.19043", "21H1", "10.0.19042", "20H2", "10.0.19041", "2004", "10.0.18363", "1909", "10.0.17763", "1809", "OLD!")

What would suggest today for a gaming PC?
Budget is £700 for just the box. Also any recommendations on specs, daughter wants to play Minecraft, Sub Nautica, Fortnite.
(But i want to be able to play Counter Strike, Modern Warefare (not fussed running at Ultra detail settings) 🙂 )

The only way to easily get any sort of graphics card right now is to buy a pre-built. I haven't even looked at prices in months because the market is so crazy right now.

Yup, getting the GPU is tough and pre-built is typically the only way to get the value.

So following on from another thread.

I'm today's modern day how would you handle:-
*Multiple site connections around 60 sites.
      *Internet access via a
for "security" either at a single point or something per connection? Nice to have Intruction detection blah blah blah 😁 and content filtering. Will need to allow certain ports in and out (I know this is normally standard on Firewalls/UTMs but worth mentioning)
      *semi managed with high SLA.

How would multiple vpns be handled. Would it be a case each sites router would have multiple vpns to each site? Or a single VPN to a singe "master" site/device.

About two years ago, we stopped using MPLS in favor of site-to-site virtual private networks. Costs are decreasing, speeds are increasing, and visibility is improving. We're using Fortigates for the firewalls, but you should be able to use whichever firewall you're comfortable maintaining. Similar use profile in terms of traffic type (Citrix ICA). We used hub and spoke vpn architecture, which works well for us; what works best for you will rely on the rest of your infrastructure topology.

My personale controller is still on Debian 9, and my desktop is Kubuntu 20.04, this is where I connected from using unificontrol

Think this is where i was getting confused i was trying to run it from the controller itself. I'll try again tomorrow.

So been looking into this a bit more and influx have changed the way they handle stuff.

From the documents. looks like you can do a .yaml file
      https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v2.0/reference/config-options/

But they also mention creating a config file
      https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v2.0/reference/cli/influx/config/create/

So i'm a bit confused how to get these working as i've tried both and when i restart the service "systemctl restart influxdb" i can get onto the UI with http:// but not https://

Another really good option is not letting them log directly into the systems at all and forcing them to use a config management tool. So something like Tower or a Jenkins server that logs all of the commands run and has the permissions set there.

Right. Just like the best defense is a good offense (or vice versa?) The most secure port, is a closed port. Locking down SSH, no matter how good, isn't as good as completely closing it.

Or using config management to only open it when necessary, is an "in between" step, too.

So i've been doing some playing and re-installed using the packages but on CentOS8.

Once this was up i just created a simple zabbix.conf in the httpd/conf.d folder that pointed :80 traffic to /zabbix url.
Then did the same with a ssl.conf pointing it to /zabbix. Once tested and OK, then added a re-direct lines to the zabbix.conf file to go direct to https://

Guess a similar thing should work on Ubuntu.
