Well,.. for the quick glance they have the 'right marketing' words and images. Seems professional enough that it could be legit.

However, I've not heard of them in the past, would do more research on them before using them or trusting them.

Still find it odd that on the most recent build of Windows 10, 22h2 that winget just isn't there for some reason and some time. Oh well.. It shows up.. just not on day one of fresh build.

Scanning through my recent feed, I found mention of using TMUX in Linux. Has anyone been using this, is there benefit to using it?

tmux is a terminal multiplexer for Unix-based operating systems. Simply put, it acts as an add-on to an existing terminal.

I'm ONLY suggesting this as we are moving all of our sites to it. Scalable, handling routing, extension to Paging adapter and more.

Uh - I am sure that is suppose to be a joke. But it's just a trash can that I didn't mount. Mainly due to just setting one up as a test to see how it will work, and if the battery will last.

It is literally a rolling cart with a 500w inverter, battery charger and 40Ah battery with battery gauge. I question if the battery as is will last an 8 hour shift...

I always build my own PC's as I have to slowly upgrade as budget permits.
Franken PCs are the thing for me.

I never gamed until the last few years, and had mainly used laptops for my general daily workings.
Last new desktop I had was the one NTG sent me when I started, which was 2015 or so. That pc still runs for one of the kids. I picked up a Dell 8700 for me, it it was already used…

Oh the horror..

Installing Windows on the Custom Built Gaming PC for myself. This is the first new PC for me in a long time, and the first custom build I have done, and first GAMING PC I've built..

That's why I picked up an Intel based Chromebook when I got one. I can load Ubuntu on it and work the way I normally would.

I've got no useful experience with with the ChromeOS shell.

I dont either. But he goal is not achievable under Ubuntu….

What does he want to do? Ubuntu can normally do much more than ChromeOS.

It’s what he can’t do on Ubuntu, Fedora, etc; he can’t stream (x) cable provider. Everything else he can.

It is akin to being able to use Peacock, Hulu, YoutubeTV but not Netflix… lame but about sums it up.

This is a really a small case of wanting to do one single task and being unable. Hey, I got him to consider Linux for more things than he had in the past… so now he wants to do one more.

Can you make cOS ignore one network adapter over another? Setting it to only know of/use the WiFi? And this is for NoMachine specifically ….

Had a few days to use before the end of the year.. so here I sit,.. about to take some HR trainings as the hotwater tank is being replaced.. (eye roll-face palm).

I am happy it's lasted as long as it has... eighteen years. So,.. there is that.

Troubleshooting recovery. Was a long day yesterday, as in sixteen hours long on normal day and participating in root cause of a performance issue with our systems. Included running two 150’ ‘patch cables to isolate some of it..

Boils down to it ain’t my network though the computer itself could use a replacement..

I tired- of course I didn’t just sit there, I helped the VP ship and palletize a few hundred orders…
