It can hit anybody using Office 2016 and newer. My first client that had issues was using Windows 8.1 and Office Home & Business 2016 with an IMAP account from GoDaddy.

RE: Outlook failing to open from multiple customers...
In the case of the Windows 8.1 user its GoDaddy IMAP account. With another user it's connecting to Office 365 (exchange). One twitter user I'm talking with is saying it was an Office update that got pushed out and that users are rolling back to the previous version with a particular command.

Outlook failing to open from multiple customers...
I've had multiple calls coming in with customers where Outlook isn't opening. Anybody have any idea what's causing this? Doesn't seem to be related to an update that got installed on any of the machines. On Twitter it seems LOTS of people are running into the same issue.

RE: Windows NLA service on 2016/2019 DCs
@CCWTech Exactly - it's mainly about firewall rules. Like you said I guess I could go into all the firewall rules and make sure its ticked for private as well as domain. It's just annoying because this shouldn't be an issue.

Windows NLA service on 2016/2019 DCs
Hi guys,
I'm sure lots of you are pretty aware of the issue where you reboot a 2012/2016/2019 DC and the network profile gets set to private instead of domain. I've read lots of ways to combat this - delayed start of NLA service and scripts that restart the service but I wanted to see how you guys resolved this. I've tried delayed start on some DCs with mixed results. At this point I'm leaning towards a script that executes after a certain amount of time, but I wanted to see how you're solving the issue.

RE: Verzon One Talk - Yeallink T41s no dialtone on handset (works on speakerphone)
@DustinB3403 Support isn't perfect but it is 24/7 and if you're bigger company you get dedicated US support. Service reliability/software has been great across the board as well. Device lock in isn't really an issue for me as long as you offer good options. I do have a Polycom VVX 601 I bought off Amazon which works fine, but I mainly using the iOS app as I spend a good chunk of time traveling to customers and texting/calling has been pretty great.

RE: Verzon One Talk - Yeallink T41s no dialtone on handset (works on speakerphone)
@DustinB3403 I haven't had any issues with Ring Central - for myself or clients. Their software for iOS for my cell phone has been pretty excellent as well. Maybe you've had bad experiences? Maybe you don't like their pricing?

RE: Verzon One Talk - Yeallink T41s no dialtone on handset (works on speakerphone)
@scottalanmiller That's cool. I agree with you. Verizon is a newbie which is why I wasn't thrilled with their choice. It says that voip.ms has 75,000 customers. Ring Central in contrast has over 2 million "users." It's weird that in all the years I've never heard of voip.ms when evaluating different service providers.

RE: Verzon One Talk - Yeallink T41s no dialtone on handset (works on speakerphone)
I wasn't too thrilled when they picked this option as Verizon is new to VOIP and their software isn't very mature. Haven't heard of voIP.ms but it's not super confidence inspiring when their feature page is rendering weird in chrome...

RE: Verzon One Talk - Yeallink T41s no dialtone on handset (works on speakerphone)
@DustinB3403 Thanks for the link. It looks like their running a custom version of the firmware from Verizon and I'm not sure I'll be able to update to the generic firmware. We've kicked the issue back to Verizon - it was originally thought it was a network issue.

RE: Verzon One Talk - Yeallink T41s no dialtone on handset (works on speakerphone)
@DustinB3403 That's what I suspect - it's some sort of weird firmware issue. I can see the current firmware installed is 66.81.21.11 but I can't find online what the current firmware online

Verzon One Talk - Yeallink T41s no dialtone on handset (works on speakerphone)
Hi guys,
One of my clients decided on Verizon One Talk as their VOIP provider. Everything is installed and every few days their Yealink T41S desk phones will not give a dialtone to the handset but it works fine on speakerphone.
You can make outgoing calls and receive calls just fine if it's on speakerphone. If you powercycle the phone everything works fine for a couple of days and then the issue comes back up. I'm guessing it's some weird firmware bug. Anybody ever experience this issue?

Shadow Tracker Live
Has anybody heard of this company? A customer of mine is looking to track their vehicles via GPS, but it's a huge red flag for me that their login page isn't using https.

RE: Email server options
@scottalanmiller Or you could standardize on the two platforms that practically every business uses - G Suite or Exchange. Out of the hundreds of businesses I support I encounter two different kinds of businesses - those already on exchange/G-suite or those using the e-mail platform included with their web hosting which is a few GB of storage and basic POP/IMAP support. Any client I've picked up and converted to exchange is always thrilled with the ability sync their contacts/calendar items and the added bonus of a Apps for their smartphones/tablets that are polished and a joy to use in comparison to what they're used to. I don't know any other MSP/IT firm in the area that's pushing for any other solution. EOP1 licenses are cheap, it work's and ANY IT person can support it.

RE: a2 hosting - looks like a potential ransomware attack
Actually I don't know why they're on IIS - their website, if my memory serves me, is quite basic. Their previous IT team placed them there and it's been on our list to move them to new hosting services - this is just unfortunate timing.
