      So the store would close down if you left? Was it not open before you started?

      Not sure how I'd take that comment.

      There is nothing wrong with taking pride in your work, having worked in some teams where I KNOW I was putting more effort/quality in but that was my own drive that wanted to deliver, Yes the team would still get it done but sometimes the part you play can make it much better.

      I agree that AJ needs to be a lot more careful with all the negativity on-line, I've seen a lot of in my short time on this community. Yet that comment wasn't the most helpful you could have made.

      Well...17 characters in 12 hours 🙂

      GPUs have only gotten more powerful. I actually need to do a test with my GPU as it's fairly beefy.

      My fiance really wants to go to Venice, but it may be just because of the PR that area gets. Is Venice cost effective?

      About as cost-effective as saying, if you want to visit America, go to New York.

      That crowd-fund page needs a lot of work, too many holes in the idea.

      I think what I have more in mind though is.

      I can have a drive shipped to a data centre or I walk in there myself.
      Plug in the drive, restore data to it, then pack that drive to client site for immediate recovery.

      @scottalanmiller - I view a reseller as...a 365 partner, they have absolutely no control or access or anything to do with the 365 infrastructure or servers, they just use the control panels that Microsoft gives them same as end users.

      A hosted provider, may rent blank servers from Amazon/Azure/whoever. Then install an OS, maintain the OS, patch it and is responsible for provisioning their own apps and creating an infrastructure.

      @scottalanmiller said:

      Yes, definitely a service reseller. Code42 is American (I just looked it up) and there is NO European protections here!!

      Cool. Time for me to go to work 🙂

      That's way over my head but considering they've been "trading" for 15 years, what's this mystery investor waiting for?

      Also, the fact that they are just renting space at Code42 as of April-15, just looks like a reseller outfit rather than a full hosted provider.

      Ok dokey. There's a rule about sharing it out but what I can tell you is.

      The figures on the official .gov report are identical to what is on the web page, there are just more of them, mostly irrelevant accounting journals.

      I do not have

      Employee lists, employee pay, or anything like that.

      I just have the total profit, assets, losses for that year and for the previous year as a comparison.

      @scottalanmiller Yes I agree.

      Still, comes in very useful when filtering through BS that you get.

      Again, if I was to really push them, I'd ask my contacts at Roland if they have ever heard of these guys.

      Interesting. How much does that cost?

      £1 per document.

      So if I want all 4 years of accounts, £4.

      Shall I order one and see if their figures stand up? 😛

      Wow, totally different than the US. A private company is considered a private person and their financial data is sacred.

      No matter if it has 1000 directors or just 1, everything must be disclosed to companies house.

      If you try and BS me by saying you have millions in infrastructure that you own and control as a company, I can quickly call your bluff, much better system, honesty is the best policy.

      All limited companies in the UK, whether privately owned or publicly owned, have to submit annual accounts to companies house UK.

      They can't fake those records. You can order copies of a companies accounts from the very body which issues company numbers.

      Yeah, that makes sense. Bit this little Scottish company is very likely private and that profit / debt info is likely completely false.

      Just looks like an online reseller to me. Especially when you look at their yearly accounts, good enough for them but I seriously doubt they have their own infrastructure.

      They look tiny. Appearances might be deceiving though. 11k of net worth in 2014 doesn't look great.
