Best job in the world, right?
At least we can be sure that is actually Jerry in the picture, since he's wearing his name badge.

I'll take the unlimited budget, please. Someone said it makes it too easy. I like easy. Almost feels like cheating? Perfect, I'll take all of that, too. Unlimited money, so that I can set my job up well enough to practically do itself... challenge accepted!!
So you can farm out your job?
If I can still get paid for it? Why not??
If cost isn't a factor our jobs can literally be picking up a phone and saying yes to everything. Why not?
Or, its broke, I called a tech and get back to browsing the net.
I was actually thinking more about automation than a person, but whatever fits. If I can get paid to do nothing, I'm all over that!
Infinite funding, infinite work force. Let's end world hunger.
Infinite work force doesn't mean there is enough space to grow that much food. Even if there was staff to work that much farm space.
Sadly, the truth is that there is already way more than enough food to feed the world with no trouble at all. It's government corruption and greed that perpetuate hunger, not remotely anything to do with a lack of food.
I'd say more general corruption and greed. Government just shows it more because who's going to call them to account?
I noted governments specifically because they hold much of the power. Of course even a governing body is still made up of people, so yeah, it's all greedy people, all the way.

I'm reading up a bit about indoor plant growing on a global scale.
Specifically PlantLab and Plant Paradise
It's really awesome technology.
Somebody's growin' weed...

When we lived in Central Africa, I almost stepped on a Green Mamba, killed an Emperor Scorpion with some diesel fuel, got stung by a couple hundred bees...
I can handle pictures of creepy-crawlies. LOL

These can easily be deployed in poor countries to print houses. The best part in my opinion is the lack of a need for any concrete. These machines can print houses with nothing but dirt and water. For those of you that want the machine to build bigger perfect homes complete with duct work, electrical, and wiring that might not sound great, but for homeless people in poverty stricken countries that's a win.
Not to mention a lot of that can be added afterward as well. It would be really interesting to see the cost per sqft of this vs "traditional" housing.
When you look at the actual cost of traditional housing in impoverished countries, I doubt this is any cheaper, if it's even close to as cheap. And of course, land is the real cost anywhere you are.

So, today is Pi day. What kind of pie should be had today? Pizza? Desert?
Both?
I like the way you think.
I thought that was a no-brainer.

@JaredBusch I am begining to think you live at Panera.
I think he lives in his car, so he has to eat somewhere...

I got a piece of homemade caramel cake from the bartender at the local pizza place. It's amazing.
I believe you but that's just messed up. Pizza place with bartenders. Bartender serving cake (and it's even homemade).

Some advice for the pseudo-celiac crowd:
Sorry, had to stop reading this after
Most dietitians and doctors will tell you, a varied diet is key to being healthy. And seeing as they are actual qualified experts and not Instagram or blog-based advocates, you should be listening to them and not the latter.
Why, because it says to listen to doctors instead of bloggers? Makes sense to me. Bloggers are a large contributing factor to the expansion of dietary cyberchondria. People, in general, are idiots and they take internet articles way too seriously without checking into the person's qualifications.
Isn't that why Vaginal steaming is a thing now?
Is it????
Yes. A well know celebrity posted on her blog about the "health" benefits of vaginal steaming and why everyone should do it. Then a few weeks ago she commented on putting a Jade egg up there too.
That one I heard about. I'm still unfamiliar with the former practice.

Here is an air station that takes credit cards. Happy I found this!!! I NEVER carry change with me.
I'll have your credit card information in 5...4...3...2...<ding!>
Now, just for confirmation, what's the CCV number on the back of your card?
I just use my shop air compressor. Something weird about using a credit card to purchase a small amount of air...

Daylight Savings is stupid
It's stupid when I lose an hour but great when I gain an hour
I was very much in favor of eliminating DST until I realized that's the part that I like best. It's non-DST that I dislike. I say let's stay at DST all year and let it stay light out later all the time!
Agreed - I do like DST better than ST. Interesting that the article even expressed that.
Did it? I didn't read it.

@art_of_shred Headlights and taillights are more important to make sure others see you, not so the driver can see. Seeing as a driver with no lights on is easy. Other people cant see you though which is bad
I guess my mind jumped ahead to a system where this was all of the vehicles, and not just an addition to the current ecosystem. If all cars are automated, and roads are set up for them, then some indicator lights make sense, but white lights in the front and red brake lights in the back are kind of unnecessary.
On top of that, you could have automated lights that click on for the vehicle when it detects pedestrians. So that would conserve power, although high-intensity LEDs are pretty cheap as far as electric goes.
Yeah, the entire concept of what we call a "car" would be up for redefinition in that case.
