Bottom line is: create a gmail account and fwd it to your 365 account. Works all the time. Not a "correct practice" solution, but that's what there is.

RE: Unitrends and Office365
I didn't see it here, but did anyone mention that updates to the Unitrends appliance will also reset the default port 25 for SMTP? If you use the work-around, you'll need to repeat it after every time you run updates.

RE: What are you listening to? What would you recommend?

Lately at work, I've been putting on Pandora. Currently the band (and associated type of music) that I've been listening to is Tesla. Which has had a lot of Guns N' Roses, some Foreigner, Whitesnake, etc.
I have been doing exactly that for a year or so now. When I enter Tesla as the "station", it gives you such a great selection! Not to mention that Tesla is about the most under-rated band of the 80/90's.

RE: Knuckleheads.......
aka- The government wants to control, tax, etc. They can make all the "in defense of the working man" ploys they want, but in the end it's about protecting the rich and powerful from getting hit in the pocket by a real freedom of the working man. I am no expert on the whole bit-coin experience (actually, I don't even really understand what it is exactly), but that much was very easy to glean from this article. Basically, we can't have something free because it's too risky... oh, and it takes power away from those who control its regulated counterparts.

RE: Elio Fuel Efficient Cars
The T-Rex is cool, but you're talking about apples to oranges here. Open vs closed (w/ AC and heat), and $50k+ vs $7k. One is clearly a summer toy that somewhat replaces a motorcycle, while the other is a sensible yet sporty all-season commuter. Personally (just my own take on it), if I were in a position and geographical location to consider/justify the T-Rex, I would buy an actual roadster and not a dressed-up 3-wheeled bike. Like I said, just my thoughts.

RE: Storage and RAID Talk at SpiceCorps DFW 2010
I'm not sure why I sat through that. We've had that conversation privately.

RE: Open Storage Solutions at SpiceWorld 2010
Say, that's a really nice unavailable video you have there.

RE: Elio Fuel Efficient Cars
I like the Elio. Legally, under federal guidelines, it is a motorcycle. Unfortunately, most of the reason I got rid of my bike is because it didn't have much room to carry anything, and I like to carry on conversations with my wife when we're going somewhere. This doesn't solve either very well (it would be weird to talk to her in the back seat like that), so I can't justify it.

Hello! My name is Art, and I'm here to spread IT knowledge and waste time... and I'm almost out of IT knowledge.

RE: Shadow Copies Are Not A Backup Replacement
@scottalanmiller Exactly. An "under-the-hood" component...

RE: I feel really at home here in MangoLassi
I also really like the functionality here, as well as all of the familiar faces! Too bad I don't have a whole lot of intelligent input on the current topics

Most ground-breaking, influential movie ever? Gotta be Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure!!!

RE: High-tech toilet seats: no hands or paper required
@ajstringham Where's the fun? You just have to bump the water pressure up a little bit for that part of the experience.

RE: Chocolate Chip cookies made with honey
I used to have a wife that made cookies. I miss her sometimes.

RE: Do you find a tablet useful for work?
No Windows tablet here, but my ipad is a wonderful tool, that I use primarily to browse 9gag and Youtube while lying in bed or taking a bath. As for work, I have a PC. 'nuff said.

RE: What Does Your Home Lab and Office Look Like?
I have a very nice rack in my office, but I'd get slapped if I posted any pics...
Other than that, it's still a pretty nice office space. Maybe I just like it because I built it myself?

RE: What are you listening to? What would you recommend?
Here's some real music for y'alls. It's the best American metal band (from Texas, in fact) covering the best from the UK. Doesn't get any better than that!

RE: Shadow Copies Are Not A Backup Replacement
Excellent point: shadow copy service is critical to backups, but not reliable solely for any business continuity plan. I think most people understand that, or else your big-dollar backup service providers would be up the creek.
