Looking for indoor & outdoor camera
Re: Indoor Surveillance Camera
I got a requirement for 6 cameras (3 indoor & 3 outdoor) for a friend. He has a 3 storied apartment and has wifi issues already. So i am looking for cameras with below options:
HD view & recording to a local device, he is not very keen on cloud storage
Alerts on motion, notification etc, preferably through a mobile app.
Talk back through the camera (nice to have, for his kids' room)
The climate here is really harsh on summer (currently the temp has gone up to 55 Degree! So something that can stand this
Vandel protection as well
Outdoor, nice to have a 360 degree option -

Well, Paint is still used but you can have other tools as well
The other features to be removed are below:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4034825/features-that-are-removed-or-deprecated-in-windows-10-fall-creators-upPage says "Microsoft Paint
Will be available through the Windows Store. Functionality integrated into Paint 3D"

AD & File server migration (Old to new domain)
We are moving out of our parent company ad (eg: ab.com) and setting up a new AD (eg:cd.com). Need to take out one OU that has our users (around 225) and migrate to the new AD. Along with that from the parent file server, only our company data (around 2TB) needs to be moved to a new file server retaining the permission and structure (but on the destination, map it to new users. The username format stays same. [email protected] to [email protected] as an example).
I guess ADMT can be used for AD migration, but not very sure what would be the correct approach for file server migration with ACL mapping.

RE: DNS manager for all domains
Amazon is being used for other services for a different company.
This requirement is to take over all the domains, previously managed by our parent company. DNS records basically are for websites and mail (newly moving to O365). Company currently using zoneedit which i am not very sure of
My first thought was to go cloudflare paid. I think there are aroind 5 domains that we use.My plan is to replicate all domain records on to the new service and add the new ns records as primary and secondary keeping old ns as thrid and fourth. After few days once all confirmed that it is using new DNS server will ask parent company to clean up records at their end.

DNS manager for all domains
I am looking for a DNS manager to centrally manage all domains and at the moment considering Amazon Route 53, Google DNS or Cloudflare. Amazon from my experience has so much of hidden cost, start with something and end up with a very different cost. What do you all use

RE: GFI mail archiver -O365
The reason for looking at GFI is (we are decentralizing from the parent company, moving out of exchange to O365 and they have GFI email archiver. From that entire GFI archiver, we need to extract just our domain emails and then keep that, plus look at a longer retention emails on O365 moving forward as well.

RE: GFI mail archiver -O365
For a lot of requirements that we have, we need to enable archiving for a longer period and so any storage limit would be an issue! I am checking email laundry

GFI mail archiver -O365
I just saw this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTpRy9bvmwA
Was wondering if this is required when O365 has legal hold available (It is with our package), but on the video, it says about some limitations of legal hold on O365;
No access to archive via mobile devices (low priority)
No Audit trail features
No file archiving
Various limitations for shared mailboxes. -
RE: Decision on Remote Support Tool- ScreenConnect
The demo for SolarWinds web helpdesk rescheduled to next Tuesday and I hope the dameware version that comes with that (Not very sure about that part either, if we need to pay extra for that, I would most probably go with screenconnect!)

RE: Intune mobile device management
I am not personally an iPhone user for a very long time, but just wondering if we need an iTunes account for any new phone to be first activated and get to the home screen.
