Yeah if you know simple gas engine stuff, you can make those things last a long time with some simple maintenance.
I was gifted one for my .67 acres, but gave it up to a neighbor with a lawn service.

Yes it does. I had a nice cold beer while I mowed with it. And this thing goes fast.

One thing I hate doing is mowing the lawn. My wife on the other hand loves it.

I grew up mowing the lawn on the farm and at my grandmother's place down the road. About eleven acres of lawn between the two. As an adult, I don't let there be any situation where I have to mow the lawn.
My dad, on the other hand, bought an $11K lawn mower and does it as his relaxation.
