Played a little DQXI this morning. Now arguing with kids about doing their educational work that they put off on Friday and Saturday.
How is it?
It is DragonQuest. I love it.
I know people that hate DQ's format though. so there is that.
DQ8 might be my favourite game of all time. So I'm a fan. Just wondering how it compares to others in the series.
Sadly, I never had a console system to play any of the DQ series after the original NES.
So I only got to play them a little here and there when I was over at a friend's place.
Oh man, DQ8 was epic. In both quality and scope. It was like a 95 hour long top grade cartoon.
I'm playing DQ8 now via Emulator. I'm only an hour or two in, but it does look great!
The PS2 version with full voice acting?
Yes, the PS2 version. I'll check on the voice acting (I generally play games with sound off).
Subsequent versions removed the voices which was really unfortunate.

Just saw a short cut scene that was voiced. (I'm still just a little ways into the story).

Making some chili on Saturday for the UFC fight. And hopefully I'll get to watch Conor McGregor lose a belt.

Pretty sure Nurmagomedov currently holds the belt that's on the line.

Does he? I thought it was for one of Conor's. Either way, go Khabib.

Well, I was able to see a vet today. My cat was 25 years old to the best of my knowledge. She was my wife's cat from before we got married. She had way more health issues than just a broken leg, so she got put down this afternoon.

OMG, that's awful. I mean, at least the cat has a long and full life. That's a significant age for a cat. But that must be really hard for you. I'm so sorry.
