@thwr I think US is only 1800W, maybe 2400W (15 or 20A @ 120V). MIght not even be able to use this in US with standard outlet.

Wow, that's what I would call a marketing nightmare

Does it come with its own electric utility ?
The utility comes from the fact that your wallet is lighter. Isn't is so much easier to walk now that you aren't weighed down by your wallet? You're welcome.
What about the outlet? We got 230V with 16 amps here (mostly). So you may attach 3.6 KW max. 2,2 KW is nearly 2/3 of that. Better not plug a water boiler to the same outlet
LOL

I played Elite Dangerous with an EdTracker Pro Wireless last night. Holy shit the difference in immersion is amazing.
-
@coliver How many monitors you use with Elite>?
Did you make this one yourself or buy the ready to use from them? -
I really wanted to play that Silent hill game that the demo P.T was made for.

I use one 2k monitor... I'm debating on getting a second one but then I'd have to update my graphics card to support more then one display port.

I purchased this one... only took 8 days to get it here. I was debating between this and a Tobii Eye tracker.

It's pretty cool. Still have quite a few little tweaks to work out but I was surprised at how much more immersed I was in this game when my head movements were mirrored by the avatar on screen.

Over the weekend I picked up Adventure Capitalist.
Pretty mindless sort of game but it had me tied up for several hours.

I guess I haven't mentioned it yet, but I'm currently starting a small side business with a friend. We will sell our own head tracker and probably other (gaming) hardware.
We tried a few of them and eventually designed our own. Wireless, approx. 30 hours battery time (rechargeable), approx. > 170° horizontal recognition, weight approx. 50 grams / 2 oz. I could start a thread on this if anyone is interested, but please keep in mind that this is more a hobby than a business

I'm interested. I would love if someone made an open source hardware version of this kind if like the original ed tracker. I'd be interested to see someone do something like this with 6dof.

There are serveral thingiverse models available if you like a DIY solution. I'm afraid our product won't be open source. It's not exactly rocket science, most information is freely available online. But we invested a lot of effort into this (finding suppliers, designing PCB and Clip, German / EU law compliance and what not) would like to see at least some "ROI"
BTW, ours is 6 degrees of freedom.
