Gaming - What's everyone playing / hosting / looking to play
-
Someday I'm going to get around to playing Fallout 1/2/Tactics.
-
My friends and I are still playing Don't Starve Together. The game is just so much fun. I've been experimenting with how the AI handles certain challenges currently.
-
Starpoint Gemini 2: Warlords --got myself a cruiser, almost a Battleship.
3/5 planets complete in Mass Effect Andromeda
Just started Fallout 4 -
I'm going back through Final Fantasy 7. I never finished it way back when.

I got my crashed airship stuck and couldn't progress any further (as I didn't have a separate save point) so I gave up, lol.
-
And it was stuck on a beach, not like I got it stuck doing something that it wasn't meant for.
-
Being so many hours invested in a good, but old game irked me.
I may start over... but damn does it suck.

I should buy a steam controller as the PS controller (while awesome) sucks with the way it needs to be configured for Windows 10.

I've got a Bluetooth PS4 controller. It works great wired or wireless (it can be used via USB while it is charging).
Edit: To make it work perfectly via bluetooth, I needed DS4Windows (http://ds4windows.com/).

I really like my Steam Controller. Very pleased with it.

Any wonky config to use it with Windows?

Started Nier: Automata last night.

I went through a ton of trials and tribulations finding a gaming controller. I think both the steam controller and xbox one controller are great (I have both now). The one caveat is the steam controller does take some getting used to. Both just plug in and work.

I'll caveat that. The Steam controller does just plug in and work. But to get the most out of it, and actually make it nice to use, you have to do a significant amount of customization to the control scheme per game. It's this customization that makes it an amazing controller, but it is a pain in the ass to get just right for a lot of games... especially emulation.

Yeah, the customization is very nice (although niche). That's actually why I have both. Sometimes I just want to plug the controller in and not have to deal with it.

But the good news is that with Steam Cloud and the Steam Community the game you're trying to play probably already has a control scheme/configuration available that someone else made.

I have both as well. I really prefer the Steam Controller but there are some games/emulators that I can't get it to work with correctly.
