I want to buy an LCG Card Game that is sort of similar to Netrunner to give Laura a chance to learn at the same speed as me. It's really hard to play a game with someone who has been playing for years, etc. I was thinking the Game of Thrones LCG (Second Edition) because I've heard good things and the gameplay is somewhat similar but give me some recommendations I can research. Head to Head LCG please! Thanks!
Tagging @coliver just because I know we like a lot of the same games and he also plays board/card games.

I'm not really into TCGs. But you may want to look at the deck builder genre. Generally one purchase and you get all the cards. These are games like Dominion, Miskatonic School for Girls, Ascension, Star Realms, Fantasy Realms, etc. These can be much more competitive then traditional TCGs only because everyone is working from the same pool of cards, so you don't have the crazy power creep that MtG or Android Netrunner have. The pace is generally, but not always, much faster as well due to everyone knowing what's available prior to playing the game.
There are also a lot of decent Co-op deck builders out there. My favorite, thus far, is Sentinels of the Multiverse (and the dozens of expansions that go along with it). I also want to pick up Arkham Horror: The Card Game but haven't had the opportunity yet.

I'm generally not into TCGs or deck builders, but I can recommend Star Realms or Epic pretty highly. My friend works on their backend services for their digital versions. They have the most gamer friendly pricing model of any of these systems that I've looked at, and the games are fun to play.

@Kelly @coliver Def don't like TCG's at all. I like LCG's because you don't have to deal with rarity increasing costs. Games like Magic cost so much money to get into it's stupid. I'll research some of these games. Appreciate the info!

LCG's
Ah, I hadn't really heard this term prior to just looking it up. This is a Fantasy Flight specific product line. The genre is considered to be deck builders, but it looks like FF is playing the odds by introducing some TCG elements into it.

@coliver Oh I didn't actually know that. It's the best way to distribute that I've seen so far. You buy the main game with set cards and every month they release a little pack of cards (again its guaranteed) you could get or not get. Totally depends on you.
-
I'm looking forward to these games (hopefully this year)

If you can't already tell I'm really invested into legacy games

Yep, it's a good system but can introduce some power creep and the pay-to-win aspect that I see with Magic. FF does an amazing job with all of their games so I'm sure the balance is pretty well defined. They do this with X-Wing and Armada as well and you never really feel overwhelmed by someone who bought a crazy expensive ship.

I really want to play Pandemic Legacy Season 1 but don't, unfortunately, have a steady group of people to play with.

Laura loved Pixel Glory and Boss Monster. She really enjoyed Netrunner but I have been playing it for years. Hard to learn when someone has already mastered it.

It really is that good, if you don't have an aversion to permanent alterations to cards/board.

Ugh, the nerd in me shudders every time I hear that. I'm the one that freaks out of the box gets damaged or scratched.

This brings me to the question: What are you guys using to store all of your games/tokens/etc--the tacklebox method or something better?

Board games go in the original box with every like token/piece bagged together. Miniatures go in my friend's tackle box... mostly because he plays more then I do. Cards are generally sleeved but I haven't really been keeping up with this as much as I would like.

This presents an issue with LCG because the box only stores the core game. I have been trying to figure it out unsuccessfully.
