Solved Windows 10: Photo Import settings

Ran into my first 'issue' I believe since upgrading to Windows 10.
Previously with Windows 8 I could insert my SDcard and it was auto start Photos and import the card. No issues.
Now when I insert the card nothing happens. I open the photo app and go to import, and it states that there is no connected device.
Has anyone worked with this feature yet?

I did go in a chech, adjust, reset the auto play setting.

so auto play was disabled?
I'm assuming you could manually see the SD card in my computer? -
Yes, I can access the SDcard via Explorer and view all the images- so no issues there.
After installing-updating Dropbox, it did ask about importing to DropBox.. but even now since resetting, it won't 'see' it and import.
But beyond that, if you go into the Photos program there is the import tool. Even going this manual route does not work as it states there is no device connected.

Seemingly yes. And this was attempted on two different computers...

I haven't fired up the laptop yet this morning, but I did find a reference to a compatibility issue with the REALTEK driver. I need to check the hardware list to see if I do have REALTEK hardware and see if that will work.

Checking ACERs site, it would appear that I have a Genesys chipset for the Card Reader. There is an update as of 9/15, so putting that in now.

Did you upgrade this or fresh install the machine?

And that seemed to do it. Installed that, restarted and there ya go. Saw the card, and imported 180 photos.
