The Incident with AJs Cheese
-
So @art_of_shred just came by my hotel room to show me something that he discovered in his room a few minutes ago. Apparently yesterday @handsofqwerty dropped off his swag bag backpack from the Spiceworld conference in @art_of_shred 's hotel room.
@art_of_shred and @Minion-Queen have been trying to figure out where a bad smell in their hotel room has been coming from since yesterday. Tonight @art_of_shred tracked down the smell to AJ's backpack. He opened it up and discovered Limburger cheese that has been sitting in the backpack, without being refrigerated, for two days!! What a smell. It was like something died in there!
AJ is going to have quite the surprise when he wants to use anything that has been in that backpack!
-
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
That is all. -
@art_of_shred and I were laughing pretty hard when he was telling me about what he had discovered. That is some warm, ripe cheese.
-
Unrefrigerated stinky cheese would be vomit inducing. Don the HAZMAT suit.
-
It was seriously nasty.
-
Forgive A.J. he's getting old too lols

I don't think that that is the issue.
The issue was who in their right mind is handing out limburger cheese first thing in the morning at SpiceWorld?! SERIOUSLY?!

FTFY

I want to believe that someone was handing out cheese as a promotion for their new line of mice.
-
Who is able to make this into AJ's new avatar?
-
Someone remind me to do this tomorrow after I have had much needed sleep

It's an illustration from a famous children's story called "The Stinky Cheese Man".

Yeah, that smell started off as a little "can you smell that?" and, over a 36-hour period, became a slap in the face as you opened the door to the room. I'm kind of surprised we didn't get any calls from the front desk about housekeeping staff passing out, or at least refusing to clean the room. It was bad. Thanks be to @scottalanmiller for casually mentioning that @handsofqwerty asked him if he could leave his bag there (obviously a different bag...). That got me thinking; did @handsofqwerty ever come back for the bag he left in our room (I had put it in a small cupboard next to the fridge)? When I opened it to look and see if the bag was still there, I thought the smell seemed a little stronger than what was wafting about the room in general. The air was so saturated, I just couldn't tell. Danielle saw me lift the bag out and said "is that smell coming from his bag?". I held it out toward her and she started gagging. I guess that was confirmation, and then she pulled the block of limburger cheese from the mesh side-pocket. I tossed it out in the trash by the ice machine, down the hall, not knowing if there was a better place to put it. I'm sure whoever took care of that trash can, or anyone who went for ice, got a treat. By mid-day Friday, there were still significant traces of the odor in our room. Ugh.

Even if someone was crazy enough to be handing out blocks of limburger cheese... who in their right mind would accept it???
-
I felt bad, the guy brought these so far.
-
I felt pretty bad, too. Like, borderline nauseous.

Yeah I can confirm that it was still pretty bad when we visited the room late Friday night.
