Pertino on Ubuntu 15.04

Has anyone gotten the Pertino client up and running on Ubuntu 15.04? The last supported version of Ubuntu was 14.04, a full year old. Trying to use the directions from the 14.04 install that uses APT so that it can be kept up to date automatically. It says that it installs just fine but it never fires up.

Might be something simple. I get a successful registration message, the service just doesn't seem to be there.

Looks like I have a process...

sudo cp /opt/pertino/pgateway/init/pgateway /etc/init.d/
sudo chmod +x /etc/init.d/pgateway
sudo systemctl enable pgateway
sudo systemctl start pgateway

Are they a bit slow on the uptake of new OS software or is it just hard to stay on top of it?
Also, I didn't think there were that many critical OS changes to Ubuntu 15.04 so why wouldn't the 14.04 version work?
I get the differences between say XP and Vista/7/8/8.1 but I didn't think the differences between 14.04 and 15.04 was that dramatic.

Change in the startup system so their script would need to take into account the changes. I think they are just slow to keep up to date. The YUM system works across versions but not the Ubuntu one.

Ah, of course. I had heard about that but clearly forgotten.

If Pertino tries to update, it appears that the configuration above is lost. You can just follow the quick four steps again and it works again.

And of course Pertino is pushing out the new requirement that devices running less than 450 will no longer connect, so everything needs to be updated.
