I'm in a two month outage with AT&T fiber. The connection isn't "down" just "not working" and no engineer at AT&T can figure anything out. We've been with the Office of the President for a week, and they only just got a ticket opened to track it!

Well, they could have just fired them. Walking out isn't something you get to just do.

Russia may soon decommission the world’s most historic launch pad

Sputnik, Gagarin, and Tereshkova all launched from here. So did Scott Kelly.
Site no. 1 in dusty Baikonur, Kazakhstan, is where it all began. In October 1957, an R-7 missile launched the first satellite, Sputnik, into space.

The storms this season have been especially strong.
By some measures, it has been the busiest South Indian Ocean hurricane season on record. In terms of damage and major hurricanes, it appears to have been the worst in modern history.

Sri Lanka attacks: Bomber 'studied in UK and Australia'

One of the attackers behind the Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka once studied in the UK, officials say, as further details on the bombers emerge.
He visited south-east England in 2006-7 to study but did not complete a full university degree, a senior Whitehall official told the BBC.
