Remember.... Religion is like a penis. Many people have one, it's ok to be proud of it, but under no circumstances should you go waving it around in public or shoving down someone's throat without permission.

If the church had followed that dictum, the world would probably be a better place now.

        1. Atheists and agnostics not only don't demand payments from anyone...

Deists fall into this category too.

"While you are here, do you know about Jesus?"

And watch how many people dive back into the flood waters to take their chances with the snakes and gators?

Thats their choice, but at least the church would be doing what it was originally meant to do.

I thought the original goal of the church was as a money grab to help people as they traveled. With the expectation of leaving something of value to the church as a form of gratitude. . . .

The purpose of the church is many things:

          1. Help imperfect people become more like Christ
          2. Spread the Good News of the Gospel to everybody.

Sorry to do this, but you're wrong.

The purpose of the church was there to act as a hostels as people would pass through. They would speak about religion and expect items in return. Ie to Make money.

Churches and religion are built around earning money for the Church.

I've never heard that before - where did you learn this?
I assume this dates back to nearly 0 AD?

You get into a really difficult question there. If you mean the church using the term Christian, it is much later. If you mean in general, it was millennium old by the time of Christ. So you have to specify if you are talking about a specific implementation of the concept, or the concept itself.

                                          Agreed.

Not sure that I see this as a bad thing. The senate has consistently battled to keep nuclear waste where it was created, rather than disposing of it in a safe mountain somewhere. Which was a big part of the "keep it there" initiative. States not wanting truck / trains going through their states with millions of pounds of nuclear waste.

Renewable energies should be implemented as often as possible. All sky scrapers should have solar panels installed on the tops.

Wind turbine tech should be developed into new sky scraper construction so as to generate additional power.

Sea turbines with wind and solar combinations should be built.

Nuclear power produces a ton of energy, but also way to much extremely volatile waste. I'd happily throw out $800 million to not build another reactor.

Since when do they try that? When I was in high school I helped the EPA to fight against the trucking (and training) of nuclear waste into NY for a central dump site. We lost and they had miles of trucks bringing nuclear ash to NY because they specifically didn't want it to be kept where it was.

That's how we ended up without school a few times due to nuclear ash spills.
