That guy does not realize just how much he needs a AND. What if his mobo fails? Then he's definitely toast.

Deep Freeze is ancient! How is he just now learning about it. Also they don't use SSL. . . . so yeah. . . that's a dead product as far as I'm concerned.

My Dad sent me a forward from the IT team at the company he retired from, still on the board so he still has email access.
Topic was what they were doing to help prevent ransomware; patching blah blah. nothing else.
I said yes, patching is good, but they need rock solid backups and good layered security.
I told him I would talk to him after work.
Then he sends me a infosec link on how to prepare for ransomeware better the best you can.Sigh......Parents.....Again, who is the one in the industry and knows the best practices?.......

If that is the case, the pot is calling the kettle black.
His ID was stolen when he had password word doc and infected. I flipped my lid when I found out. I pestered him for weeks to password lock it at the very least, he finally got the point. -

Now he is mad at me being blunt in my email reply, saying he hopes I have a better tone with work and customers.
No, it is just you are my father telling me things I already know. My CustomerService hat is partly off when dealing with family.
