Rack / Table For Tower Servers

Is there such a thing as a rack / table designed for tower servers? We have all tower servers here and because of a remodel, I'll be given a chance to get a new table for my three tower servers. I did a search and only saw blade racks, as expected. But are the specifically designed tables for tower servers?

IKEA has some good stuff that's cheap.

I would recommend a rack with a shelf on it. Are these in a semi open space?
I purchased a noise reducing cabinet for one client. You can get cheaper racks if the noise is not an issue.

See that blob in the middle, that is a tower server laying on it's side because I chose to put some UPS on a shelf underneath it.

Are you spending money just to spend money?
I suppose you could be looking toward the future, the replacement servers for the current ones whenever that happens.
I'd agree with above, just buy a cabinet (cabinet's are closed in boxes, racks are open) and install shelves for the servers. When you replace the current servers, buy rack mount, and remove the shelves.

Just getting opinions...I looked at cabinets and it would be out of the acceptable range for now. I need a new unmanaged switch as well, so pricing them.

We always used bakers' racks for that stuff.

Yeah, decided to keep it but I may move it to get the air flow from behind to head out the vent (with a box fan blowing out) by the door. Just didn't know if there were better options.

For heat issues, I'll have to see if I still have a picture of what one of my clients did. they took cardboard, made chimney stacks, connected them to the back of the tower servers, and cut holes in the drop ceiling, and vented them directly into the plenum space. Definitely an interesting/cheap solution.

Not much better, no. Moving to rack servers is the real answer.

The cardboard chimneys did work amazing well. I think the temp in the room dropped by 10+ deg. Chimneys plus an in-room AC unit (also vented into the plenum) cooled that room right down to 68 deg. F.

Better then what I have / had.
Last office was a folding table with a HP ML350 on it... The other new Dell PE2900 was on the floor,.. the firewall - same place.. floor. With the 2 APC UPS 1500s.
Oh - the sprinkler head was right above it all.. Poor design / placement for the network infrastructure.
New office has 2 buildings in a H floor plan. End of each main hall is a utility closet, half with the HVAC, other half....well. stuff.
Of the 12 closets I have 7 servers sitting in them,.. no real ventilation on each.. It's a plan to deal with it, and a rack is planned...
