My Definitions....

SOOOO...
It's came to attention that a lot of my definitions are different than everyone else,
Let me explain:
In the event I useserver
I do meanWait staff
in the event I useServer
I mean a PC / Server .
Back office - The PC in the office that runs the Terminals. asks as File Server.
If I ever use the following:- TS = Table Service, sit down restaurant.
- QS= Quick Service, Fast food or not table service.
- Terminals = Point of sale hardware, where orders are placed.
- RAID ( ) = We use FakeRAID with Promise Cards ( that's not what I am here to discuss... Believe me I know..)
- Aloha = the software we use to build and deploy menus and management tool for add on's to the system.
This was just because : 1. I am waiting on calls and have caught up on everything else,
2. I see a lot of cross over and I cant always define what it is exactly when i am typing it.
3. To help all of you understand that when I say one thing, It probably means something different than what you say.If you have questions based on what I say, Ask. I'll gladly elaborate on what I mean in regards to PoS systems.
Cheers,
-
LOL - I suppose some around here will learn these things.

Well is anyone going to use this other than me?
Probably not
My biggest thing was QS - I saw on another thready about IP Cameras.
I have no clue what QS is in regards to IP cameras or Vm's but I do know that what QS. means to me * -

Fair enough,

QS in my thread was meant to be Intel's feature, Quick Sync. I generally only use acronyms in the context of that thread, or if they are used industry wide. If there is doubt, I tend to stay away and just spell it out.

Exactly - I could see the use of QS in your thread becuase you mentioned Quick Sync in a previous post.
But if WrCombs is talking about servers - and doens't spell out that he's talking about people each and every time, there are just going to be problems. Now - it's possible that context will make the need to spell this out unnecessary, but expecting people in an ebbing and flowing community like this to read this OP and just know what WrCombs is talking about, yeah.. I wouldn't expect it to work.

That was a main reason for this post.. But, Can I ask Why you are using my full name?
I go by Will since the 6th Grade.. Looks weird seeing my full name plastered all over LOL
Makes me feel like I'm in trouble... LOL
