This is normal WSUS operation.
Try iisreset from elevated command prompt.

Either port, same issue. So an issue with IIS then?

When I just go to https://localhost I get a Http Error 404.0 - Not Found page.

On WSUS I'm getting an error while attempting to launch WSUS show in the picture below. Has anyone seen this error before or now how to try and correct it.
Reset Server Node does nothing useful.

You've changed the Queue Length and Private Memory Limit, and restarted the WsusPool application pool?

Dunno then. Why does your Applications say 0? I don't knwo what that is, but that's a difference I see between your screenshot and mine.

I know. . . I know. . . there are other issues that need to be resolved / depend on this system but not WSUS.
Hence "can't afford down time"
