Fing: Network Scanning

So there is something more to the story.... but what? Looked at the site. Nothing of interest pops out. Is there something that we should be looking for?

@gjacobse Interesting, the Fing APplication on the Iphone and Android could only scan one network at a time and the application will not scan VLAN or different networks available. So I might be interested as to how they do that on the App.

I use Fing app on iPhone all the time. Mostly just to lookup IP address, or sometimes management port some app is listening on. It does the job better than any other tool I ever used, including nmap.

Supported on: Debian 5.0, Ubuntu 8.x, CentOS 5.0, Fedora 10, Slackware and Gentoo, both 32 and 64-bit platforms.
Nobody should be using those old versions. They should really change that or just don't add the release version.

I use it alot also in Android
For Windows I prefer ZenMap, It's more powerful.

@gjacobse I like to keep it handy on my phone, besides that, I just use nmap more often than not.
