Hostadillo

And to not get lost in the troll account issue, the question is valid.
As it is obvious to anyone in IT things are easy to track down.
-
Why won't someone just answer the OP question (even if OP is a spammer) & put this thread to bed?
Unless the question is considered not valid. -

I do not know anything about this provider, but @scottalanmiller posted on Spiceworks back in April that he was a beta customer of the service?
When @scottalanmiller says "we" he's most likely referring to NTG. So the issue I see is a lack of transparency if he is recommending a hosting service without divulging that he has skin in the game.

Yes - NTG and Hostadillo are not connected. I do NO support for Hostadillo, never have been.

MX Record for hostadillo.com point to mail.dutchcolonialheritage.com
dutchcolonialheritage.com is registered to @scottalanmiller with the email address [email protected]
Yes, as are tons of websites as NTG is an ITSP so we handle site registration for all kinds of companies. That I'm the technical contact name for an ITSP that does registration for clients has been going on for decades.
That I do work with Hostadillo as well, separately from NTG, is also well known. But your connection of NTG doing registration is unrelated. Any site registered by NTG, regardless of who does the registration, has my name on it as that's how web technical contacts work.

Since @scottalanmiller is recommending Hostadillo all over the place I desided to check them out.
After looking around it's clear this is a fake hosting company. No way to sign up for hosting online, ipsum text all over the place, broken links, no contact infomation anywhere, half of the links post back to http://orion-host.redstone.studio, looks like a wordpress site someone didn't setup fully.
Then at the bottom of one of the pages I see "Dutch Colonial Heritage". I have heard of this before, I could have swear that's who started Mangolassi, so I searched, and found nothing, so I decided to check out archive.org as I was sure I had seen this before on Mangolassi.

MangoLassi is a proof of concept, and hopefully flagship, internally managed online community from GroveSocial which is a subsidiary of Dutch Colonial Heritage Development Corporation (DCHDC) in Texas.
This post seems to have been deleted, as I can no longer find it in the community.
So is Hostadillo run by Mangolassi? or NTG?
I can speak to GroveSocial, and MangoLassi.it and NTG.
Grovesocial has hired NTG to provide hosting services, IT Support and Community Technical Management. This is not my area of expertise so yes I hired a company that I trust (of course I trust them yes there is a tie as NTG is my day job).
MangoLassi.it is a bit beyond proof of concept at this point. We are over 3 years old now our traffic and community participation is more than concept.
GroveSocial is owned by Me. MangoLassi.it is owned by me, under GroveSocial NTG is a Corporation and does not own Hostadillo they are a customer. We are asked to this type of technical/administrative services.

MangoLassi is not a company. MangoLassi is a product of GroveSocial.

Yes, NTG has been using testing Hostadillo, for testing new websites.

@kim-valley What point are you trying to make? I am actually confused as to what the point of this is considering the responses you've received.
