Just testing on the cluster, but so far it is really slick. Thinking that this might be my dad's next desktop!

Deepin definitely gets loads of development even though it is not so popular in the US. In China it is a really major distro.
-
The Deepin Store is really nice, better than the "stores" on most distros.
-
It's definitely polished and out of the box ready. I'm testing it on my child laptop to see if she likes it more than ElementaryOS.

@scottalanmiller
While you were installing it as a virtual machine, did you notice the friendly reminder about using a virtual machine? It gave me two choices, Effect Mode or Common Mode. This happened on Windows 10 Hyper-V. -
CrossOver is also pre installed too.

I keep finding cool apps like Deepin Screenshot, Deepin ScreenRecorder and Deepin VoiceRecorder.

Yeah, they seem to be making a lot of their own stuff that is really nice. I wish that they'd make their own email app, too!

I love that in the menu you can just right click on an app and select "uninstall" and it disappears

Deepin Store
I can search for owncloud but not nextcloud
-
@black3dynamite That's just silly
-
It has a look like Mac OSX
-
That's weird, I'm unable to browse windows share via Deepin File Manager.
-
I notice that swap isn't including when selecting basic installation.

Yes. They definitely do a "what if Mac OSX was designed today instead of in the 90s" thing. It's quite similar but definitely way better. Lacks that "clippy" style art.

There's a Manjaro Deepin spin.
https://manjaro.org/2017/07/22/manjaro-deepin-community-edition-17-0-2/Since I'm invested in Fedora, I would like to try a Fedora Deepin spin.
