@dashrender Windows (firewall is off)
No need to turn off the firewall. It is Agent based.
-
Why would my phone capitalized Agent? That makes zero sense.

It's off because of gpo, not because I turned it off.

This seems like it needs another thread entirely.

I can't reboot right now, so I restarted the salt-minion service
-
hrm no service found, reinstalling.
-
You can do....
Restart-Service salt-minion
I find PowerShell the simplest.

Did you remember to "Run as Administrator"?
-
@scottalanmiller Yes, of course, we have UAC actually enabled, and require an external admin account to install anything.
It's installed now.

It's installed now.
Just running a CMD would open a command window... fail all things not allowed as non-admin, then close.
I thought I had done that, then poof, it showed up in the console.
-
FYI, my new install this morning is still not in the console

Hi guys! I'm actively looking into this issue as we speak. Please give me a little bit and I'll figure out what is going on. We have been modifying some of the jobs that pick these up due to us working on linux support and something must have went wrong. I will keep you guys posted!

I like the interface since it was updated (yesterday).
Just need to be able to see some stats

Same as mine from last night. I think there is something causing them not to get picked up in the latest release.

As they said - this is pre-beta, maybe even pre-alpha.

@dashrender Yep, we're including you guys in EXTREMELY early. One thing that we believe is that there is regularly a very large disconnect between software engineers and IT. Because of this there is also a large disconnect between what software engineers THINK you need and what you actually need. This way we can get great insight that will help direct us from a very early point instead of us having to continuously go back and make changes. We're TRYING to make it the right way from the start.

Note to everyone, server will be going down shortly for a tiny bit.
