What Are You Watching Now

I'm watching BIG3 Basketball. Retired NBA players coaching retired NBA players.

The original Mission Impossible show is on Prime now. I had never seen an episode of it. Now ive seen about 35 out of 160. Formulaic, but good action and schemes usually. Very not violent; they rarely kill anybody and usually accomplish the mission using illusion, deception, and tech.

I watched that a lot as a kid.

The Impossible Missions Force just used a cat to steal back a stolen cultural artifact.

Just finished the first episode from today's Naruto DVD release (Shippuden Set 31).

That sounds like the making of an awesome cartoon.

Only remake from the US I've ever seen that rivaled the British original. But I hated the original. So it had nothing to live up to.

@stacksofplates I wish that was on any other streaming service. Me and Hulu are not homies (you pay them for "premium" service, and they still show ads???)
Hey, Kodi.....

Hulu is what the dinosaur broadcast and cable ISP companies dream of turning the internet into. You pay a sub fee and still have to watch unskippable commercials(some are even interactive). it is owned by Fox NBC et al, and I wont ever pay them money.

The interactive ads are the worst. When I was subbing to Hulu you had to interact with them or they wouldn't proceed to the show. They always had loud audio too so when I was in the middle of a game or homework it was jarring.
-
And for that, I'm going to be cutting the cable, setting up a PLEX server, recording OTA broadcasts, and take out the commercials by a script.
-
The simple fact that Hulu took away southparkstudios.com's free content, which was literally every episode of South Park ever made, in HD, free streaming anytime, was enough for me to boycott them forever. The way they continue to do things is hopefully enough to kill them off.

@NerdyDad You're going to attempt to run the Plex app through your Smart TV or you're going to have a device running it that is connected to your TV?

Plex App on smart TV. Trying to cut out as many dependencies as I can as I am wanting the family to utilize this more. I have to try to keep it as easy as possible for them to use if I am wanting them to use it.

Nope, its an LG. They have their own store, which is mediocre, but does have a PLEX app for the TV. I'm willing to try it out before i go for another device taking up another HDMI port.

In my experience, every smart TV I've ever seen runs like hot garbage. I would seriously recommend buying a Roku 3. I not only have a Plex server but I also have a Visio Smart TV and still opted to get the Roku. Never looked back.
