@scottalanmiller Why moving so quick, just tired of virus and things like that?
Sorry I haven't got to meet up with you being so close and all. -

Sorry I haven't got to meet up with you being so close and all.Spent over a year convincing the wife to move, once she flipped from "would rather stay" to "it's time to go" I want to get there ASAP
Just itching to be out and abroad. But for me, COVID has had no effect. For her, it has. For me, I've always been ready to go at the drop of a fedora.

@scottalanmiller lol sounds like fun. Wish I could go places like that.

Tickets are $65 now from my/your local airport! It's safer than the US, very quick flight (one hop for the cheapest tickets, so not super short) and crazy low cost to do anything there except to rent a car (because of insurance.) But use taxis, local hotels, eat at local places, and it's like nothing to be there.
-
@scottalanmiller That sounds very nice and tempting

Dude - sadly, it costs $450 round trip from me to you, then a cheap $65 to Nica... could be worth it... if my work didn't require 2 week quarantine upon return for international travel.

I assumed that from your post - I was simply talking about me personally... I would love to make quick trips like that - but being in BFE, it costs a mint just to get out of here....

Spirit, the one I always fly.
Best price I've seen is DFW to Ft. Lauderdale to Managua. If you try Ft. Lauderdale to Managua it's more expensive, even though it's less flying. Something about DFW as the origination airport must provide a fee or tax break. So the longer flight, with the extra hop, is cheaper.

I assumed as much and I searched flights. Everything is going through FLL right now.
And nothing is $36.
