Daylight, so far, it's pretty bad.
Never heard of it. Did you mean Daybreak?
Total blank. No memory whatsoever.

La Casa de Los Flores
-
Forbidden Planet on Netflix.
-
@RojoLoco The wife and I just watched that this past weekend. Was a great throwback
-
watched The Mandalorian yesterday - I liked it.

Kids are watching Spiderman Homecoming. Graphics are so bad it looks like it was filmed in a very well rendered Sims 4 session.

Looked great when I saw it at the theater.

The CG has the same style of animation of Sims 4 characters. The weird motion and the rendering of the scenes is low enough intensity that it gives the feeling of a video game live rendering to me. Which, certainly, the Sims 4 looks good. But.... still.

Yeah, not even close. I will admit to it not being the greatest plot in the world....

Just watched episode one. Looks like a lot of lore going to be spun out in this.
That is awesome.
With only a few books, the movies and the animations for lore in the new universe this looks promising.

Agreed. a lot of the old EU will be coming back, with any luck that is.

I liked the young Jedi knights book arc. So that will never happen. But, yeah. I am really hoping more of the EU will come back.

I didn't follow the plot, just walked by and saw the 100% CG suburban scenes that looks just like my kids playing Sims 4... which they do sitting in the same spot on the same TV. It just moved faster, but the characters and buildings had the same style and overall look. And movements.

Well I really like Marajade, etc - but that ship has sailed ain't comin' back either.

@scottalanmiller pretty sure they made it look that way on purpose. But it is a bit jarring, took me a few minutes to get used to it.

Wait a second - we're talking about the new Spiderman movie... yeah, there are a lot of scenes where holo-projectors are in use - they are part of the story... so yeah, they could easily do this thing Scott doesn't like, or at least this thing he's noticing on purpose so the audience can be clued in on the fact that holograms are being used.

True. I hadn't considered that... I was mostly thinking it was simply a stylistic choice by the director (or whomever). Definitely liked the movie, and, by the end, the whole visual style.
